TakeO Terms & Conditions

Effective date: 2026-10-28

These terms are the agreement between you and Vibetude, an independent developer (“we”, “us”), for using the TakeO app. By using TakeO, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use TakeO and uninstall it.

1. What TakeO is

TakeO is a free reminder app for personal routines, made as a personal, non-commercial project. You create routines, TakeO reminds you at the times you choose, and you mark items as done. TakeO has no ads and no paid features.

TakeO is a reminder tool only. It is not a medical device and gives no medical advice. Please read our Disclaimer, which is part of these terms.

2. Who can use TakeO

TakeO is designed for people aged 13 and over. If you are under 18, or under the age of adulthood where you live, use TakeO only with the permission of a parent or guardian.

3. Your licence to use TakeO

We give you a personal, free, non-exclusive licence to install and use TakeO on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use.

You agree not to:

  • copy, modify, sell or redistribute TakeO,
  • take apart or reverse-engineer it, except where the law allows this,
  • use TakeO for anything illegal.

TakeO, its name, design and content belong to us. TakeO also contains open-source software, which keeps its own licences; they are listed on the Credits & licenses page (in the TakeO app: Settings → About → Legal).

4. Reminders can fail

Reminders are scheduled on your device, and whether they arrive depends on your device and its settings. They may be late, silent, or not appear at all. Don’t rely on TakeO alone for anything where a missed reminder could harm you or someone else. Our Disclaimer explains why reminders can fail and what you can do.

5. Your data and your responsibility

What you enter in TakeO stays on your device, as described in our Privacy Policy. We never receive it, so:

  • you are responsible for what you enter, including names, amounts and times; TakeO shows them exactly as you typed them and doesn’t check them;
  • we can’t recover your data if it is lost, for example if you clear TakeO’s data, uninstall it, or lose or reset your device. Your device’s own backup may help (see the Privacy Policy).

6. Changes to TakeO

We may update TakeO, change or remove features, or stop offering it. Updates can be needed for TakeO to keep working. We’ll try to keep the app useful and reliable, but we don’t promise that any feature will stay available.

7. No warranty

TakeO is free and provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we don’t promise that TakeO will be free of errors, work without interruption, or that reminders will always arrive on time.

8. Liability

As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for any loss or damage that comes from using or not being able to use TakeO, including missed or late reminders or lost data.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, for example for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for deliberate or grossly negligent harm.

9. Your rights under the law

If you are a consumer, you have rights under the law of the country where you live (for example in the EU, the UK or Taiwan) that these terms can’t take away. Where these terms conflict with those rights, those rights apply.

10. Google Play

You download TakeO from Google Play, and Google Play’s own terms also apply. Google isn’t responsible for TakeO or for supporting it; we are.

11. Ending

You can stop using TakeO at any time by uninstalling it. Sections 7, 8 and 12 continue to apply after that.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Taiwan (Republic of China). If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live. Before going to court, please write to us: most problems can be solved by email.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the law or TakeO changes. We’ll update the effective date at the top and publish the new version at vibetude.com/takeo/terms and in the app. We’ll tell you about important changes in the app before they apply. If you keep using TakeO after a change applies, the new terms apply.

14. Other

  • If a part of these terms isn’t valid, the rest still applies.
  • These terms may be translated. If a translation differs from the English version, the English version applies, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
  • If we don’t enforce a part of these terms right away, we can still do so later.
