TakeO Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-10-28
TakeO is a free reminder app for routines, with no ads. This policy explains, in plain words, what happens with your information.
The short version
- Everything you enter in TakeO is stored only on your device. We never receive it.
- TakeO has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it doesn’t connect to the internet.
- We don’t collect, sell or share any of your information. Only if you email us do we receive your message (see “If you write to us”).
Who we are
TakeO is made and published by Vibetude, an independent developer (“we”, “us”). For any question, write to takeo@vibetude.com.
Information that stays on your device
TakeO saves on your device:
- the name and avatar you choose,
- your routines: their names, items, amounts, days and times,
- what you marked as done and what was missed (kept for 90 days, then deleted automatically),
- your settings, and a draft of a routine you haven’t saved yet.
This information is stored in TakeO’s private storage, which other apps can’t read. It is never sent to us or to anyone else. Anyone who can unlock your device can open TakeO and see it, as with any other app.
You can delete it at any time: Settings → Clear all data. Uninstalling TakeO deletes it too.
Reminders
Reminders are created and scheduled on your device by Android. They don’t pass through any server.
A reminder shows your routine names and how many items are left, never the item names. To hide routine names, for example on your lock screen, turn on Settings → Hide routine names.
To check whether reminders can arrive, TakeO reads a few device settings: whether notifications and on-time reminders (exact alarms) are allowed, whether battery use is restricted, and the sound mode. These are only used to show you tips inside the app and never leave your device.
Links
Some buttons in TakeO, such as Help & feedback, open a web page in your browser or a message in your email app. TakeO itself doesn’t connect to the internet; your browser or email app handles the link.
If you write to us
When you email us, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to answer you, and we delete them within 12 months after our conversation ends. We do this because we have a legitimate interest in answering you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Please don’t send health information or details about your routines unless they’re needed to answer your question.
Our emails are delivered and stored by our email provider, Zoho Corporation, in the United States, under Zoho’s own privacy policy. Zoho protects transfers of personal information out of the EU with contracts based on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Your device’s own backup
If you have turned on your device’s backup (Google backup on Android), your device may include TakeO’s data in that backup, so it can come back when you set up a new device. That backup belongs to you: it’s stored by Google in your own account, under Google’s terms, and we can’t access it. You can manage it in your device’s settings.
Google Play
You download TakeO from Google Play, which handles downloads and updates under Google’s own privacy policy. Google Play gives us only general statistics, such as the number of installs, and anonymous crash reports from users who allowed this in their device settings. None of this includes what you enter in TakeO.
Permissions TakeO asks for
- Notifications: to show your reminders.
- Alarms & reminders: so reminders arrive on time. Without it they may be a few minutes late.
Children
TakeO is not designed for children under 13. We don’t collect information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, Switzerland, Taiwan or US states with privacy laws), you have rights over your personal information, such as access, correction and deletion. Because your TakeO information exists only on your device, you can see, change and delete it yourself at any time. We hold no copy. For any question, write to takeo@vibetude.com. You can also contact your data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update the effective date at the top and publish the new version at vibetude.com/takeo/privacy and in the app. We’ll tell you about important changes in the app before they apply, for example if TakeO ever adds ads.
